The
northernmost province of Chiang Rai boasts an assortment of
different recreational activities for visitors to enjoy. Especially
popular are activities and outdoor pursuits that involve a
combination of water and nature, such as riverboat cruising,
adventure hikes, trekking and exploring the countryside.
Some
of the most renowned attractions in the area are the splendid
Doi Tung Wildlife Station, the Mae Falaung Arboretum and the
various boat trips available along the Mekong River, around
the area of the so-called Golden Triangle.
