Huay Sai Wild Life Breeding Center

barking deerThis small zoo is one of the royally initiated conservation projects, officially opened by Her Majesty the Queen. Many animal conservation and breeding projects are under progress at the center. A variety of animals can be seen such as deer, barking deer, gibbons, bears, monkeys and porcupines, together with birds including pheasants, parakeets, eagles and emus which hide among the trees. Animals can be seen both in cages and paddocks. Local people also earn a living from breeding and selling a large species of frog at the breeding center.

Huay Sai Wild Life Breeding Center is located in Sam Phraya of Cha-am District, about 14 km from the Cha-am Intersection. There is a left fork to Phetkasem Road where you continue driving for 4 km to the entrance to Phetchaburi Agriculture College. There's also a shortcut to the bypass. The center is open daily to visitors. For more information, contact Phra Rama VI Camp Tel +66 32 471-129-30.
