Khun
Tale Swamp
The
swamp occupies 1,270 rai and is the main water reservoir for
provincial agriculture. It also offers spectacular views of
its natural surroundings. There is a Thai style pavilion available
for rest and refreshment, and many restaurants and food stalls
provide local flavor and Thai dishes at a reasonable price.
Khun
Tale Swamp is a nice spot for family picnics and it attracts
mostly local families. It can be crowded during weekends.
It
is located in Tambon Khun Tale, 5 km from Surat Thani municipal
town. One can take the Surat Thani - Phun Phin route, or else
you can take a bus from Ban Don - District Police Station
8 to reach the swamp.
