Ko
Lampu
Located
in the Surat Thani provincial town, Ko Lampu is a petite isle
in the Tapi River. It covers an area of 60 rai and has been
developed to be a public park. It is a spot of rest and refreshment,
and offers a flower garden shaded with many kinds of tropical
plants. There is a main pavilion and another three pavilions
making a nice place for family picnics with beautiful surroundings.
Visitors can sit back and relax around the two natural pools
on the isle.
It
is very convenient to take the car to Ko Lampu as there is
a paved road running around the islet and parking lots. There
are restaurants selling local dishes. Ko Lampu also has a
sport center and playgrounds for children and is a nice place
for families and couples. Ko Lampu can be easily accessed
by a bridge at Tambon Bang Bai Mai at Lak Muang Intersection
in front of Sanahm Si Surat.
